Gerry holds the position of Chief Executive Officer and has been a board member since 2013. He was first involved with the group at its formation in 1990, serving as a board member until 2001 when he departed to set up his own financial consultancy business. Returning to the group in 2008, Gerry has responsibility for portfolio management, financial controls and compliance plus all general corporate matters. He has over 35 years’ experience across all areas of international financial services and during his career, has held positions with some of Ireland’s leading companies. Gerry is a highly regarded financial professional whose dedication and integrity has helped to grow Abbey International into the strong company we see today.

Dermot joined the Company in September 2016 as Chief Operating Officer.  He brings a wealth of experience to our team, gained through twenty years working in senior management roles within the leasing and finance sectors.   Prior to joining Abbey, he spent a decade working for Deutsche Leasing Ireland, the last eight years of which were as a member of the Board of Directors.  He is a dedicated professional with a passion for structuring and completing financial transactions. Dermot has management responsibility for our subsidiaries in France and Austin, Texas and is heading up our new business activities.  Dermot is also a member of our Investment Committee.

Niall joined Abbey International Finance in 2009 and now holds the position of Chief Financial Officer, where this creative and dynamic finance professional, has responsibility for Finance across the Group as well as holding overall responsibility for Risk and Investment Management. Niall is a key Member of the Executive team and is actively involved in the General Management of the Group. He is actively involved in all aspects of new business and is a member of the Investment Committee. In his previous career Niall has held a number of C-Suite Financial roles in insurance, mortgages and banking and was involved in a number of start-up businesses.

Pauric joined Abbey International Finance in 2005 and is our longest serving member of staff. He has been Treasurer of the group since 2007 and is a member of IACT. His responsibilities extend through all processes and procedures in relation to treasury and banking.  Pauric is also heavily involved on the Leasing and Asset Finance side of the group and oversees Abbeys largest client. He has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge of the Leasing and Asset Finance sector over the last 16 years.

Tom joined Abbey International Finance in 2013 and his primary responsibilities are for group operations and compliance. He has previously held senior management positions within marketing, IT and operations functions, which has given him extensive experience in systems design, implementation and change management, process re-engineering and general operational development. Tom is a marketing graduate from the MII and holds a B.Sc. (Hons) Information Systems from Trinity College Dublin. His career has spanned 24 years within financial services organisations.

Mark joined Abbey in 2016 working predominately on the Private Equity side of the Group. He is involved in the sourcing of new investment opportunities and managing existing client relationships. Mark holds a number of board positions, and prior to Abbey, worked in technology, property & engineering. Mark holds a B.Eng having worked on projects including The Convention Centre Dublin, and holds an MBA from UCD Smurfit Business School.
