Our Staff Charity Partners

Abbey is more than just a financial services company, we aim to maximise returns from our commercial activities to benefit charitable causes. At the core of Abbeys ethos is giving back and supporting the community. Since Abbey’s inception, we have facilitated €67.5m of donations to Charities around the world (as at 31 December 2025) and this figure will keep on growing.

Abbey Staff Charity Fund

In 2020 we established the Abbey Staff Charity Fund which is a separate charity arm from our commercial donations. The Abbey Staff Charity Fund was set up for our staff members to allow them to nominate registered charities of their choice. Each staff member is allocated a portion of funds, that Abbey donates on their behalf. Apart from the financial donation, staff members are encouraged to help and support their charities, and this is done by allocating staff members time off.

Our Staff Charity Partners

Sitting alongside the Staff Charity Fund and our wider charitable donations, is our Staff Charity Partners. It was decided in 2023, that Abbey staff would nominate three charities that the staff and company will support through donations, volunteering, and regular meeting with the charities to see where we can help.
The staff of Abbey have selected the following three amazing and worthwhile charity partners for 2024, Ana Liffey, Teac Tom and BUMBLEance. Each of these charities provide on-the-ground services for the community.

Teac Tom

We had the pleasure of welcoming Angela Hayes from Teac Tom in our office and speaking to the Abbey staff about her story and why Teac Tom was set up. BUMBLEance

BUMBLEance is a Children’s Ambulance service, created to reduce the anxiety and trauma for children in Ireland attending hospitals, by providing medical transport for those with any and all medical needs. The ambulance has it all, including Playstations, Netflix, Games, Sensory lighting, to name a few. BUMBLEance provide a safe, secure and fun medical transportation environment for Irelands youngest patients.

Ana Liffey

Ana Liffey provides non-judgemental support for people affected by drug use, homelessness, poverty, and social exclusion. Since 1982, Ana Liffey has worked alongside people often excluded from mainstream services, offering practical harm reduction, outreach, healthcare support, advocacy and pathways toward safety, stability, and change. Ana Liffey mission is to improve the quality of life for people in our community who are struggling under the profound hardship of social harm. Ana Liffey will never give up on anyone who needs their help.
